Certification schemes disrupted by fraud.

After the organic cotton fraud discovered last November, a new investigation is now shaking the wood supply chain.

At stake is the trading of plywood articles, sold as FSC certified into the European market.

At the origin of this scam is a network of companies in China and some of their manufacturers. 4 entities already had their certificates terminated, while two others are currently suspended.

The ongoing investigation should, in the coming days, provide more details on the progress of the transaction verification process.

Ensuring the traceability and integrity of certified raw materials and their related processed goods is a major challenge today, especially as supply chains are complex and globalized!
