Climate: companies need to take action on their supply chains

While COP 26 is in full swing and calls for action from civil society (among others!) are multiplying, some reports, such as Stand.Earth’s analysis, published at the end of October, cast doubt on the ability of fashion and textile brands to achieve the objective of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

However, this article shows that the sector has a real opportunity to change the situation, provided that it raises its ambitions and concretely tackles the issues inherent in its supply chains (beyond its own operations – offices, shops, etc.).

In particular: review its sourcing choices, of course, but also help its suppliers to improve the environmental footprint of their factories (and get involved with governments to facilitate these transitions), without forgetting to consider the transport of goods.

Companies, it’s up to you!
